Watermills have a direct thread to ages gone by. Old grinding stones which, who knows,, were turning when Richard III fell at Bosworth Field.

This historical attraction of watermills led to do my search. I was disappointed not to find some literature about Leicestershire watermills, so that as my search progressed I realised that my researches could be of interest to other similar minded people.

I therefore resolved to publish a record of my findings.
